I try to only have them maybe once/week. Have you tried the Field Roast sausage brand? I think they are the best! And thanks for following my pregnancy journey. It's definitely a blast to share :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14520391827058627195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5561974841849145763.post-55151843377723539772014-05-06T08:43:48.589-04:002014-05-06T08:43:48.589-04:00Absolutely!!!Absolutely!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14520391827058627195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5561974841849145763.post-60052335612807149272014-05-06T08:40:20.756-04:002014-05-06T08:40:20.756-04:00Thanks Kelly! And a tofurky club sandwich with avocado, tomato, and vegenaise (and maybe some tempeh bacon) - that's heaven! Use it in smoothies and pretty much everything else. And I have tried a number of other 'unique' products that are vegan, gluten-free and whatnot.

My issue is with 'faux' items. I actually have two issues:
- NONE of it tastes as good as the 'real' stuff. I am not a Mayo lover, so I wouldn't use a faux mayo, but I've had it and it tastes OK. But there is a reason 'tofurkey' is frequently parodied ... seriously. And the same with the fake butter - it reminds me of 'turkey bacon' ...

So for me I like to seek out things that are great by themselves - like the nut milks, etc - rather than things that are pretending to be something else. And worse still - many 'faux' products are highly processed, which get me on the 'eat real food' level.

Know what I mean?

Oh, and thanks for all the pregnancy updates ... it has been great tracking :)Michael Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03061568790581429107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5561974841849145763.post-50351893484229965552014-05-05T15:26:06.864-04:002014-05-05T15:26:06.864-04:00Love this post! We still use real cheese probably weekly, but we've found many occasions where we actually PREFER Daiya over regular cheese (like on pizza, it melts so fanstically and actually stays melty). It's a rare occasion that cow's milk or butter makes its way home with me and I definitely love me some Field Roast, Tofurkey and various soysages and fakons. It definittely helps to have cutesey words for everything too ;-)Kelly @ hidden fruits and veggieshttp://www.hiddenfruitsandveggies.comnoreply@blogger.com
