Hey hey hey!
Sara at Loving On The Run tagged me in a blogger survey recently (thank you!) and I thought it would be fun to answer some of the questions. You get to know a little bit more about me and of course please answer a question (or two or three!) in the comments because I love learning more about you. Ok, here I go!
I definitely have to go with walking my dogs. It absolutely brings me such happiness because they get SO excited to walk and it’s peaceful and relaxing for me. Unless a squirrel passes by and then I have to use all my strength to hold them back. I love being outdoors and getting fresh air. I also like to hike (when it’s not buggy in the woods) and bike.
What made you decide you start blogging?
I have a passion for food, running, and overall healthy living. I wanted to connect with others who share my passion. I love to learn from others while sharing my thoughts as well.
Hanging out with my husband and pups. I love when we cook a delicious vegan meal together (or go to Chipotle or some other delicious restaurant) and watch movies. Getting in a long run on the weekends always makes me feel really good as well.
What is a current goal you are working towards?
I worry too much and I’d like to stop that ;) I’m working on letting things be and just being comfortable in my own skin. I've come a long way. It's no longer about being skinny, but being my healthiest me. Adopting a plant-based diet has helped me immensely and I feel better both emotionally and physically because of it. My goal in life has always been just to be happy and appreciative of everything & everyone I’ve been blessed with.
What is one positive thing blogging has brought to your life?
I started to follow a plant-based diet in fall of 2009, went back and forth in 2011 & 2012, and then fully committed to it in January 2013. I’ve learned about so many new foods and recipes. I’m inspired to eat healthier and be kinder to myself. I love being part of a community.
Also, running is a huge passion of mine and following other runners goals/achievements is a lot of fun for me. I trained for a marathon starting in May and having the support here was huge and so encouraging. I ended up hurting my IT band on my last long run before tapering (ugh!) but it was still such a rewarding experience.

What is your favorite holiday?
It’s more that I love the holiday season as Christmas approaches. Of course I love the actually day, but leading up to it is such a blast – shopping/holiday desserts/time with family and friends/decorating/Jax (my dog) absolutely loves the snow/and I think everything just looks beautiful covered in a thin blanket of snow (not a fan of the driving in the snow though…)
That’s a little about me. Please answer one of the questions too!
So fun learning more about you. I'm with you on the days/weeks leading up to Christmas being the best. Is it crazy that I already want to start decorating? Ha Ha!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way! I don't let myself decorate until the day after Thanksgiving haha...but I normally start listening to Christmas music earlier...I'm bad haha!
DeleteCool post - love learning a bit more about the bloggers I follow. :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely love hiking as my non-running exercise. One of the great things when we moved to the Corning NY area 5 years ago was the amazing amount of hiking trails, gorges and so on.
I totally agree on the amazing hiking trails/gorges! What fun!
DeleteI loved seeing all of your beautiful pictures and reading more about you. I can always use a good reminder to stop worrying and just let things happen. It's hard to let go sometimes, but good things always come of it. Hope you're having a great day, pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara! Aren't pictures just fun?! Have a fantastic rest of your week!
DeleteLoved learning more about you! I'm a terrible worrier too. Trying to work on it but it's definitely a challenge. And you know I'm here to be your injured buddy anytime you want to talk/vent/laugh :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Davida - that's so kind. I'm always here for you too =)
