5 Thing That I Love

Happy Thursday!  We've made it over the hump of the week (Oh Wednesday!)
Today I'm sharing with you five things that I love because they are just simple things that add to my day.  Now I specifically said things because I'm talking about items, unnecessary (but necessary), happy, lovely things...here I go!

Let me tell you that I feel much more like a lady when I've got my makeup done.  My hair, not as important.  As you've probably noticed from most pictures, I make a solid effort to get a brush through it after showering each morning and that's about it.  There are those special days where I blow dry and straighten my hair, but we're talking like a few times a month.  But makeup (just a little) is like an added boost, making me feel good about me.  I just feel better with powder, blush, and mascara.  I say a little thank you to whoever created the stuff.

2. High heeled shoes

I'm 5'4".  Now I know that's not really short, but it's not really tall either.  All of my work clothes look better with a pair of heels.  I've never really been a flats kinda girl - unless they are flip flops for the summer.  All of my work shoes make me a solid 2-4 inches taller and I love it.

3. Starbucks

You know I'm a Starbucks junkie.  BUT I have been doing so so so much better!  I make (almost) all my lattes at home now and if I go to Starbucks it's because those Refresher drinks have got me hooked!  Oh the Cool Lime Refresher is out of this world good.  I need a fountain of that stuff.

4. My iPhone

I use it for practically everything.  All my pictures are iPhone taken.  I use a wonderful app called Pic Collage to make all the framed photos I post.  I know they aren't anything fancy, but they are good enough for me and the iPhone makes it so easy!  I love Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram on my phone as well, and then there's my Nook app, Words with Friends, Nike=+ Running app to track my runs...the list goes on.  And then of course the communication aspect is huge.  I like to leave my phone behind here and there (to check out from the technology world), but when I want to be checked in, it's perfect.  I'd take a picture of my phone (and I almost tried), but turns out it's tough to take a picture of your iPhone with you iPhone.

5. My SPIbelt (running belt)

This has really been life changing for my runs this Spring.  I received it as a gift last Christmas so this is the first season I'm using it.  It carries my iPhone and key while I run.  It's easy to unzip when I need to pause my run on the Nike+ app.  It's light weight, adjustable, and I've got nothing bad to say about it.  I know mine was ordered off Amazon.

These are just 5 little things that add to my day.  We all have the things we love (and are lucky to have).
What are some things you love?

  1. I really don't know what I would do without my Iphone, my Clinique Double Face Powder, Starbucks, or heels. I think we would be best friends :)

  5. Oh my! I don't think we're friends at all! Except the hair part ;) I am too low maintenance. It's true. I love flats, flops and ponytails. B totally thinks it's hot ;)

I can't live without Pandora! I listen to it 24/7. And Excel, I use it for everything!

This summer I am going to look into a running belt. Thanks for the recommendation!

  6. Great list! I'm more of a flats girl myself. I'm almost 5'8" so add 3-4 inches to that and I'm the crazy tall freak at work, haha.

I've heard AMAZING things about those refreshers, but every time I go to Starbucks I get distracted by the coffee menu and end up ordering that. Must make an effort to try one of the refreshers! :-x
