I know I've posted a much more comprehensive food list previously (see here!) of pretty much everything I could ever have in my home, but it's nice to have a shorter list when going to the grocery store. Here is a list of items that I need each week. Some of the foods I buy more biweekly. Hope this is helpful!
Grains: brown rice, barley, quinoa
Grains: brown rice, barley, quinoa
Bread: Ezekiel sprouted whole grain bread
Grain products: Brown rice noodles, udon noodles
Beans: lentils, black beans
Other Protein: tofu, faux meat crumbles (or faux chicken nuggets)
Veggies: kale and/or collard greens and/or baby spinach, sweet potato (3), onion, garlic, ginger, broccoli crowns, baby carrots, celery
Fruit: apples (bag), oranges (bag), bananas
Seasoning: shoyu, vegetable broth
Oils: olive oil, coconut oil, safflower oil
Nuts/seeds: almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds
Milks: almond milk (vanilla), coconut milk (unsweetened plain), daiya "cheese"
Misc: larabars, peanut butter, rice crackers, organic ketchup, kukicha tea, raisins
Reminder: if you're just starting to revamp your kitchen with healthy & happy foods, there are many other ingredients that I buy less often on this list that I like to have in stock, but in general, this shorter list is what my shopping looks like most weeks.
I'm off for a run! Half marathon is only 45 days away...time to work hard!!!
Do you tend to use the same grocery list each week?
What's your favorite food from my list?
