Quick Run and Beautiful Greens

Good Morning!

Here's how I began my morning...5:46am I was on the road...

It was 45 degrees out and sunny when I started running which made for fantastic running weather.  It was not an easy run and I really felt like I was working hard the whole time.  I'm happy with my time though.  I'm trying to do my shorter runs during the week faster and the long runs slower.  I've read to do my long runs about a minute and half slower than my 15k time.  For me that would put me around a 9:30 pace which seems very comfortable for long runs.

Now onto the GREENS!  Don't they look fantastic?

They make me happy just looking at them so I had to take a bunch of pictures.  Last night we had our first home grown side of kale and collards with dinner.  It was a really big moment because I've never eaten anything that I personally have grown.  My husband really has the green thumb though.  He tends to the greens much more than I do, but I'm learning.

Time for me to make a cup of coffee and get on the road to work!  I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday =)

How are your veggies growing?  What are your running plans this week?

  1. Awesome run times!! I still need to figure out what my 5k and 10k times are. I am going to attempt the 5k soon. I honestly haven't ran over 3 miles in a while. I'd LOVE to get a long run in soon, but purely just for fun. I'll start training for the next half in a little bit. I need to just "be" right now lol

LOVE your greens too. I hope we can eventually start something like that!!

  2. Nice! I wish I had the motivation to be up at 5 am on a run. You go girl!

I love your garden! I recently started growing herbs and hope either the hubby or I have a green thumb to maintain them. :-)

  3. Your greens look amazing! And great job on the running...It's so much harder when your legs feel like molasses or your breathing isn't right, but when you finish, it always feels good :)

    1. Those bunnies!!! We're having some issues with that as well, but so far nothing substantial. I'm praying it stays that way!
