Short Faster Run & Hot Days

Happy Wednesday to you...

It's going to be 93 degrees out today - woo!  It was only 70 degrees on my run this morning, but I am dripping - lovely I know!  I worked hard to go faster this morning and it was work.  It was fun to go on a shorter run though and really push it the entire time.

It has been so hot.  I know, I've been saying that a lot, but really Monday and Tuesday were sizzling.  I took about a mile walk each day on lunch and definitely returned to the officer a little crazier looking.  But it's been nice getting Starbucks in this heat.  A Grande Soy Coffee Light Frappuccino tastes so good.  Although when I get back to work, I put it in the freezer for a bit because it melts that much on my 7 minute walk back.  Yesterday I was up for my freebie at Starbucks making it extra special!

I know I never talk about it here in blog world, but I really love to read.  My favorite author right now is Emily Giffin, I'm currently reading Another Piece of My Heart by Jane Green (it's a really touching story...) and growing up Nicholas Sparks was my favorite author (The Wedding is my favorite).  Although I like lots of books not just Chick Lit.  I've been reading more lately than I have in a while and it's really nice.  I forget how much I love reading when I haven't done it for some time.

So last's dinner was all about simple (and something that didn't make the house any hotter!).  We had udon noodle stir fry with tofu and broccoli in a peanut sauce.  I 100% cheated on the sauce this time, but honestly I think this bottle was better than my peanut sauce.  I like this dish because the leftovers can be eaten cold as well (not that there was much leftover!)

I hope you get to enjoy a hot day by you =)

What did you have for dinner last night?  Who's your favorite author right now?

  4. Your dinner looks fantastic! And I have been loving reading lately, too, now that I am finished with school. I am a big fan of chic lit, as well ;). Currently, my favorite authors are Mary Kay Andrews and Sophie Kinsella. They both have a TON of books, too, so I have a lot on my "to read" list!

  5. Loving anything by Sarah Jio! Currently reading a book by Kate Morton.

Yesterdays din was a vegan buddha bowl with tempeh. The recipe is based on my favourite restaurant in Toronto's Buddha Bowl. It's spicy and peanuts! So yum! It also tasted delicious cold for lunch today. I always eat my leftovers cold...is that weird? lol
